Structure:
The electrical connector consists of a fixed end electrical connector, that is, a negative contact (referred to as a socket), and a free end electrical connector, that is, a positive contact (referred to as a plug). The socket is fixed on the electrical parts through its square (round) disk (individual welding method), the plug is generally connected to the cable, and the plug and socket are connected by connecting the nut.
The electrical connector is composed of three basic units: shell, insulator and contact body.
Housing:
The electric connector housing refers to the housing, connecting nuts and tail accessories of the plug socket. The function of the housing is to protect the internal parts of electrical connectors such as insulators and contacts (the common name for pin jacks) from damage. The upper positioning keyway ensures plug and socket positioning. Connection nuts are used for connector connection and separation. The tail attachment is used to protect the wire and contact end from damage and is used to secure the cable. The shell also has a certain electromagnetic shielding effect.
The shell is generally made of aluminum alloy processing (machine adding, cold extrusion, die casting). The steel shell is mostly used for glass sealing welding and high temperature resistance electrical connectors.
Insulator:
The pin insulator is installed and the jack insulator is installed. Interface sealing body, sealing line body, etc. It is used to keep the pin jack in the set position and to insulate each contact and each contact with the housing. The sealing measures are obtained by adding the interface sealing body and the wire sealing body to improve the environmental resistance of the electrical connector.
In order to adapt to the product's high temperature resistance, low temperature, flame retardant, to ensure that the geometric size of the parts is stable and reliable. Insulators are mostly molded from thermosetting plastics. The interface sealing body and the sealing line body are formed by silicone rubber molding
Contact body:
The contact body includes a positive contact part and a negative contact part, sometimes called a pin jack, and the connection mode is divided into welding type, crimping type, pressing type and winding type, etc., to achieve circuit connection.
Pin jack is the key component of electrical connector, which directly affects the reliability of electrical connector. Pin jacks are mostly made of elastic copper alloy material with good electrical conductivity, and the surface is plated with silver and gold to achieve small contact resistance and anti-corrosion purposes. Jacks are generally wedge type jacks, wire spring jacks, crown spring jacks and punch jacks.
The structure features are: environmental resistance, bayonet type (fast) connection, multi-key position (anti-misinsertion), contact body and wire crimping connection, (single take and send easy fault handling). The enclosure and shielding ring guarantee 360° electromagnetic interference shielding capability
